This vista is one of my favorite views anywhere, and is from the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of Scotland. The landscape on Skye is so beautiful, almost primeval, and to me this panorama really represents the soul of the island. Although I enjoy painting landscapes of the western US, which speak to me most loudly, I also am drawn to landscapes of the UK and Ireland, which shout at me pretty loudly too.
