This was the very first painting I did of a New Mexico landscape after moving from New York State in 2014. Jemez Dam, a short drive from our house, has a most pleasing, sweeping view to the west, and it seemed appropriate for my first local painting. A good friend purchased this particular painting, so I do get to visit it at his house from time to time.
